HOW IT WORKS
Drive-in Pallet Racking provides maximum storage capacity using the minimum amount of space. It is particularly suited to store a very large quantity of the same product. Loading and unloading are undertaken by means of counterbalance truck or reach-trucks that drives down each lane into the racks.
Two management systems are available: (1) Drive-In System, with only one access aisle, and the (2) Drive-Through System, with access to the load from both sides of the rack.
This racking system is most suitable for manufacturers of products that are produced in batch, or in warehouse operation where there are limited products SKU and pallets cannot be safely blocked or stacked. Frequently used in cold stores (refrigeration and freezing) which require maximum use of space for the storage of products in a controlled temperature.

The illustration above shows a forklift placing a palletized good into the drive-in rack.
First-In-Last-Out Stock Rotation
Drive-in Pallet Rack System can operate on the rotation of First-In-Last-Out, therefore it suits products that is stored in sufficient volume to require multiple lames to ensure stock rotation.
First-In-First-Out Stock Rotation
Drive-in Pallet Rack System can also operation on the rotation of First-In-First-Out, where the first pallet is placed at the end of a row and sufficient space is allocated at the end of row so first pallet can be retrieved by forklift truck.
General Benefits
Cost-efficient
The NUTECH Drive-In Rack System enables compact pallet storage, saving on costly floor space.
High density
Drive-in racking ensures that your available space is optimized efficiently.
Safe, secure storage
Drive-in racking system prevents product from crushing, and offers damage free storage.
Components and Options
Frame
- 1.6mm, 1.8mm, 2.0mm thick
- N60, N90, N115
- Epoxy coated or Galvanized frame
The Details
Nutech drive-in racking is made with the same frames as our well-established pallet racking system. It is fully screwed in place and particularly well suited to heavy loads. At the top end, the frames are connected to each other with struts in side-to-side and in a front-to-back direction. Additionally, the uprights of each frame are linked to each other by horizontal and diagonal struts to ensure that all parts of the frame are solidly connected to provide excellent rigidity.
Pallet Rail
- Roll-formed & Bolted onto Arms
- For heavy-duty applications
The Details
The pallet rail double as the runway for shuttle car and storage space for palletized goods. Rolled formed from a high tensile steel material. Designed for heavy duty application. Pallet rail rest on top of cantilever arms. Pallet stopper is equipped at the end of each pallet rail row as a preventative measure.
Arms
- Heavy-duty, Formed
- Easy installation
- Epoxy powder coated
The Details
A block of drive-in rack consists of single arm and double arm. These arms provide support to pallet rail, and the goods sit on the pallet rail.
Protector
- Protects the upright from damage
- Epoxy coated
The Details
The protector is placed at the further end of a row to protect the upright from damage or collision with material handling equipment.
